Hamburg, May 9, 2018 – Mackevision Medien Design GmbH has hired Steffen Bärenfänger as the Executive Creative Director for its Hamburg branch. The 42-year-old top creative expert will expand the creation and concept development strength of the CGI world market leader’s Hamburg branch. With his expertise, he will also enhance the company’s positioning in the advertising film sector.

Cannes is the most important advertising festival in the world and will take place from June 18-22.

In collaboration with an international network, Steffen Bärenfänger will enhance Mackevision’s visualization, production, VR and CGI implementation services provided by its Hamburg branch with creative services such as concept development, storytelling and creative sparring. Existing international customers (including Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Audi) draw on these services for their product presentations, VR showcases along with television and cinema spots.
About Steffen Bärenfänger
After completing his degree as a Media Designer, Steffen Bärenfänger worked as a freelance creative and director at and for some of Germany’s most renowned advertising and digital agencies including Jung von Matt, Kolle Rebbe, VCCP, Scholz & Volkmer, Razorfish and Pixomondo. During this time he also taught at the Macromedia Academy in Cologne and was represented as a director by Driven by Creatives. From 2012 until 2015, Bärenfänger worked as the Integrated Creative Director at Agentur Grey in Düsseldorf where he was responsible for integrated campaign development. He has worked with renowned clients such as Allianz, Telefonica/Ay Yildiz, Deutsche Knochenmark Spende and was responsible for winning numerous new business. He then moved to Publicis Pixelpark in Frankfurt as Executive Creative Director, where he supported the branch management along with the Savencia, Cadillac, L’Oréal Garnier and Nestlé portfolios. In the course of his career, Steffen Bärenfänger has received numerous awards from organizations such as the Art Directors Club Deutschland, Clio, Eurobest, NY Festivals, Golden Awards of Montreux, Cresta Award, GWA Effie as well as the world’s most important advertising festival in Cannes.
