Toyota Auris – Exhibition Film

A 2-minute marketing/trade fair film shot in South Africa was the result of a project in close collaboration with our long-standing film production partner Goodfilm that took approx. 8 weeks (CGI production time: 5 weeks) in total. The previous Auris model (coupe + estate) was digitally replaced by the new Auris model and integrated photo-realistically into the film in approx. 22 shots.

The car’s digital model is constantly updated up to the very last second to be able to show the most up-to-date customer model possible in the film. The special challenge in the short production time was also to develop and integrate a transformer effect to transform the car’s coupe version into an estate in one effect setting. As a result of the very tight production time, our Hamburg team sat down several times a week with the director and film production team to analyse the current production progress and work on the final look.

After 4 1/2 to 5 weeks the film was delivered on time and on budget to the customer’s total satisfaction and was broadcast for the first time to a large trade fair audience at the start of March.
