With the Battery Universe, Kärcher shows that all its battery products – Professional and Home & Garden – are compatible with each other and are not inferior to the performance of wired devices. This inspired the idea of portraying the universe as a sci-fi world in which the batteries are capable of powering the enormous generation ship “Alfred” with so much energy that even the latter can perform a FTL (Faster than Light) jump.
The project was produced in-house from the very first idea to the production without the involvement of an agency that would usually provide us with a concept. Due to this circumstance we were very free in our creativity and were able to win the customer for our vision very early with strong concepts and designs.
